TOYOTA ATRIUM
TONNES: 77
CLIENT: Toyota New Zealand
MAIN CONTRACTOR: Humphries Construction
LOCATION: Palmerston North
JOB TYPE: Seismic Strengthening
Following our successful Distribution Centre project, we were commissioned by Humphries Construction to work on the seismic strengthening and steelwork for Toyota’s impressive new atrium space. Featuring 77 tonne of steel and over 10 tonne of Steltech beams sitting on top of concrete columns, this area houses offices, a café, and glass balustrade walkways all round.
Testimonial: From the very first engagement with Toyota, it was recommended that Patton Engineering were seriously considered for this job following past projects with Toyota and Humphries Construction. Patton’s had been involved in several previous projects and had always delivered all work to a high standard, on-time and with precision.
This job was considered a very complex one with multiple areas of difficult and intricate work as well as areas that consisted of large structural members all needing installing within tight and tricky restrictions being managed around existing structures. The collective team at Pattons from the shop drawer through to the labourers on site all were very diligent and professional and delivered an outstanding job that they should be very proud of.
As the main contractor ( Humphries Construction ) we would be more than happy to continue to work with and alongside Patton Engineering. Adam Dekker Director/Shareholder, Contracts & General Manager Humphries Construction.
