Patton Engineering were engaged by Downer Construction to undertake extensive structural seismic strengthening on the Mohaka Gorge Road Bridge.

Prior to commencement of seismic strengthening, high levels of chromates were found within the existing painting system which resulted in the need for full encapsulation of work areas, full abrasive blasting and preparation prior to remedial structural works being undertaken
