Local construction company, Gemco Construction, was appointed as the preferred contractor for the athletics track grandstand with Patton Engineering confirmed as the structural steel and metal contractor.

This is a large scale community project that has netball courts, a gymnasium, hockey and football fields.

Patton Engineering director Mike Patton says being part of the development of a facility that has significant benefit to the greater Hawke’s Bay community is something that the team at Patton Engineering are very proud of.

“Following on from our involvement in the construction of the Graeme Lowe Grandstand at McLean Park’s great to see that we have contributed towards sporting spectacles at Hawke’s Bay’s two premier sporting venues,” Mike says.
